How many giants were there? Here are 12 individual named giants mentioned in the Bible. Were any of them species of Sasquatch? This is not yet known, what we do know is that there were a bunch of different hybrid offshoots of some pretty wicked DNA agendas going on throughout Biblical history. Here is a very interesting web site that describes many of these eruptions of giants. Genesis Giants Lets take a look at the list RAPHA • Early ancestor of all the giant clans in what became the region of Palestine, which included the Anakites, Emites, and Horites (Deut 2:10-12; 2 Sam21:16,18,20,22; 14:12-15) Goliath’s family of giants who lived in Gath (2 Sam 21:19; 1 Chron 20:5) At least 3 cities of giants mentioned in the Bible Anakites giants lived in 3 of their own cities • These were Hebron (formerly Kiriath-Arba), Debir (formerly Kiriath-Sepher),and Anab• These Anakite cities were located "in the hill country of Judah" (Josh 11:21) Some Anakite giants also resided with the Philistines • Philistine cities where Anakite giants resided included Gaza, Gath and Ashdod• These Philistine cities with Anakite residents were located on the coastal plainbelow the hill country of Judah (Josh 11:22) Anakite giants of southern Canaan lived in "large cities that have walls up to the sky" (Deut 9:2)• This most likely referred to the Anakite cities of Hebron, Debir, and Anab• May or may not have referred to the Philistine cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod 5 clans of giants mentioned in the Bible ANAKITES or ANAKIM or SONS OF ANAK • Were Rephaites (Deut 2:11) meaning they were giants descended from Rapha, a subgroup descended from the Nephilim • Were giants descended from the Nephlim (Num 13:33)• Were "people of great size" (Num 13:32)• Were "stronger and taller" than regular people (Deut 1:28; 9:2)• Were all descendants of a giant named Arba (Josh 15:13; 21:11)• Were descendants of a giant named Anak who lived in southern Canaan(Num 13:22,28) Some more infamous giant stories.... Numbers 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. When Moses sent his spies to scout the Promised Land so the children of Israel could enter it, the spies reported seeing beings there who were giants. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that there were races of people at that time who were so large, that regular sized men appeared as “grasshoppers” before them (other references can be found in Deuteronomy 2:10-11, 2:21, and 3:11 or the story of David and Goliath for starters). And we see that when the great servant of the Lord, Joshua, was sent to conquer the Promised Land that God commands him to kill all of the men, women and children of these giant races. They were to be wiped as if any remnant of their kind would post a great danger. So what is this all about? The Bible of course has the answers. Since the day Satan was removed from his position serving God and cast out of godly service as the first sinner and a traitor (Ezekiel 28), he has been conspiring to try to thwart God’s plan of creation and redemption for humanity. And part of his conspiracy is what caused the flood in Genesis. This conspiracy is going to play out all the way to the End of Ages |
